The unit is solidly built and nicely finished. It is very easy to set up and fairly intuitive to operate. The Bluetooth functionality is good and pairing is very quick and happens automatically when I start the ignition.
I have pairs of Bluetooth headphones with this feature and it is very handy if you want to leave your phone in your pocket. The FM transmission seems very solid and the reception seems strong even in an area with an extremely crowded FM spectrum. I have had several FM transmitters over the years and this one seems to be one of, if not the best in terms of producing a good signal. Overall, I’m very happy with this device.
Powell –
I’ve never had the best of luck with any device that plays through the car radio’s FM, so this device easily surpassed my admittedly low expectations. The sound quality is adequate, especially in my ’95 Cutlass Supreme convertible. Wind noise is pretty bad in that car, even with the top up, so the high-end sound is pretty much irrelevant. If it’s audible and reasonably undistorted, it’s good enough.
Given the modest price tag of this device, you almost can’t afford to give it a try, especially if you’ve got an older car that lacks any sort of built-in Bluetooth connectivity.

We have an older vehicle without a way to connect to our phone to the audio system. We love using this Anker transmitter to connect the cell phone. We listen to audio books on road trips or our favorite radio station (NGEN) via their app. We have found we need to wait until the vehicle has been started before plugging this in. It connects to the phone quickly without needing to re-pair each time. Previous devices of this sort put out a lot of static if it were plugged in too close to the radio, so we had to use it in an auxiliary port further back in the vehicle. That has not been an issue with the Anker. Plugging into either USB port charges any of our devices.
